Between being my kids chaperone and taking care of everyone’s needs, I’m busy enough.  But then throw in attending events and parties…and I felt like I was running around like a chicken with my head cut off...

And not enjoying any of it.

Can you relate?

I knew that if I wanted to grow a big team, I needed to talk to new people about my business all the time.

So I did.  At every party.  Every event.  Every playdate. Every birthday celebration.  Every family gathering.  EVERYWHERE!  ALL. THE. TIME.

The problem was that I didn’t seem to be getting anywhere.  I wasn’t adding team members...or even having any real interest….so I started to wonder what else I could do.

Then I found out that I could talk to new people about my business every single day without leaving my house.

You might be thinking “yeah right. You’re crazy, lady.”  - - That’s what I thought at first too.  But hear me out.

From Crazy Chicken Back to Myself

One night as I was lying in bed (staying up too late….again), I was scrolling through Facebook with blurry, tired eyes.  I had just come home from a girl’s night out where I had met five new people. 

I was thinking about how happy I should be about that.  But all I could think about was how tired I was from running from thing to thing all day.

I remember contemplating how I could use social media better to find prospects and recruits – then maybe I could stop being away from home so much. 

I happened upon a post written by (my, now friend) Cari.  I was almost creeped out by how eerily her pains sounded like mine.  She was saying the same thing I was feeling!  

Without hesitating I clicked on her blog and signed up for this 10-day video series (click here to get it).  That’s when my world changed.

That’s when I stopped going to every single party and event I was invited to.  I started saying no and taking things off my calendar. Except for the things I really wanted to go to.

See this picture?  This is me at a gathering with friends where I laughed so hard I cried.  It felt GOOD…Great actually.  It’s a momentous picture for me because I was actually sitting with my friends during a party. 

NOT prospecting.  First time in a LONG time.

Anyway….here’s the basics of what I learned when I moved my business online - written in 3 simple steps (and not just on social media).

Step 1 – Know Who your Ideal Prospect Is

Most people are overly concerned about what to say and when to say it when presenting their business to their prospects.  But if you’re not talking to the right person, you’re just wasting your breath anyway. 

Think about it – how many conversations have you had with people about your business that have absolutely NO interest?  And you know it, but you think you can convince them.  Right?

Contrary to that popular thinking, it’s actually MORE important that you understand WHO you want to talk to.

I highly encourage you to spend some time really thinking about what kind of person you want to work with and what kind of person would be interested in your opportunity.

  • What are their struggles?  
  • What kinds of things do they desire?  
  • What kind of goals do they have?  
  • How can your opportunity help them?

You see, inviting people to take a look at your opportunity becomes a whole lot easier when you invite the RIGHT people.   

If you don't do this step, you're bound to continue to spin your wheels and talk to people who aren't interested!  Boohoo, right? 

With this step done, step 2 becomes much easier as well…

Step 2: Attract Your Ideal Prospect

Now that you know who you are looking for, it’s time to start attracting those people to you – without having to go out and find them.

Using the Internet and marketing YOURSELF (not your opportunity) is really the key to this step. 

Start a fan page and position yourself as a leader.  Use your experiences in your posts and live videos to attract people to you. 

You’ll also want to start an email list where you can start communicating with your ideal prospects regularly. 

People will start asking you about what you’re doing.  Seriously…they will. Here’s an example. 

This will make more sense if you sign up for this free video series – it will literally walk you through how to use attraction marketing to build your business.

If you don't attract people, what will you have to continue to do?  You'll have to keep chasing prospects (that probably aren't interested).  Is chasing people productive?  No!

So is attraction marketing key to your ability to prospect from home?  Yes!

You’ll also have a better understanding on how to attract people to you in combination with Step 3.

Step 3 – Use a System for Filtering Your Ideal Prospects; and for turning them into Recruits and Customers

This is the ultimate step.  This strategy can virtually bring in your ideal prospects and allow you to only talk to people who are already interested in what you have to offer. 

Say what?!  I know….it’s awesome.

The beauty of this kind of system is that it filters out the kinds of people you’ve mostly been talking to up until now – the NOT INTERESTED ones.  There’s a statistic I heard recently that 80% of the average network marketer’s warm market is not AT ALL interested in even listening to your opportunity.

That means you’re not likely to find many team members in your warm market.  But the type of system I’m telling you about here, automates that filtering process for you.

The system continuously filters new, interested people to talk to constantly -while you’re out living your life (i.e. going to parties you really WANT to go to and having FUN!).  

Without having an automated system, your ability to bring in leads and prospects online becomes super overwhelming and time consuming.  And most likely, your leads and prospects will not be ideal.   

I know that I wouldn't have been able to grow my list by nearly 10,000 people in 7 months...but with the system, I did! Boom!

So now because of this proven system, I spend my days building my business AT HOME. And I only talk to people who WANT to talk to me. 

AND…I feel free.  Free to go out (or not) and have fun with my friends and family.  Free to ditch the networking groups if I want to.  Free to laugh and have fun again!

Free because I’m no longer running around like a chicken with my head cut off.  I’m grounded.  My business is growing and I get to be home with my family.

A dream, right?  Well, it can be your reality if you want it to be.
